Washtenaw County residents can dispose of household hazardous waste for free at two locations. Household Hazardous Waste includes paint, household cleaners, automotive fluids, batteries, and more. Appointments are required.
The items must not have been used for a business, government entity, or other organization. Pesticides are accepted regardless of residency or use.

To use the HHW Center, you must be a resident of Washtenaw County, Northville Township, or the City of Northville.
Saturday Collection Events at the Home Toxics Center

From April through November, the Home Toxics Center is open on select Saturdays. See Washtenaw.org/HomeToxics for full calendar.
To use the Home Toxics Center, you must be a resident of Washtenaw County.
Cost
These services are free to Washtenaw County residents, but voluntary donations are welcome. These donations help cover cost of disposal and operations.
