The Payment Center was launched this week, March 19, 2012 using the "Point and Pay" commercial system. It is a little different from the previous Payment Center, but offers lower fees. There will be convenience fees which depend upon the type of transaction and the payment method that you select:
For Tax Payments
Electronic Check: $3.00 Flat Fee, or
Credit Card: 3% with $1.50 minimum

You will be asked to identify yourself either by your name, your address, or your property tax ID. Be sure that you pay YOUR taxes, and not your neighbor's. This is your responsibility!
You will be able to make a payment ONLY if you owe money.
The appropriate convenience fee will be automatically added to your transaction as you proceed through the checkout.
For Utility Payments
Electronic Check: $3.00 Flat Fee, or
Credit Card Fee calculated on the Tier scale shown below increasing by $1.50 increments per $50 payment with $1.50 minimum

$ 50.01 - $100.00 $3.00 Fee

An additional $1.50 fee for every additional $50 in the payment
FIRST TIME USERS - Read this first.
For Utility Payments, you will be logging into the BS&A webpage at http://augustachartertwp.is.bsasoftware.com (a clickable link is given below).
As a first-time user, use the "Utility Billing Search" link at the left of the webpage to find your records. BS&A suggests that you use your last name to find your billing records. Once you have found your billing records, the BS&A system will require you to create a free login account with them (write down your Username and password), and your billing records will be associated with that account. The links for creating your account will be apparent on the BS&A webpage. There is no service charge from BS&A for a homeowner to look at his/her own records.
After finding your utility billing records and creating your account, you should be presented with a link "Pay Online". No link is presented if you don't currently owe money. Before clicking "Pay Online", you may edit the amount next to "Make Online Payment". After clicking on the "Pay Online" link, the system will transfer you to Point & Pay to make the payment either by Credit Card or by Electronic Check. The appropriate convenience fee will be automatically added to your transaction as you proceed through the checkout.
For return visits, log into the BS&A webpage with your Username and Password. Use the "Utility Billing Search" to find your utility records by searching on your last name. Select your account. Then make the payment as described above.
